How we work
Do you have an online planning system?
Yes. Our planning system walks you through your event soundtrack and every detail of the night. We have made planning fun and easy.
Do you specialize in a certain genre?
Our DJs are well rounded with their music knowledge, and they prepare ahead of time once we have your requests.
Do you take requests from guests, and how do you handle them?
We gladly accept them. For a request to get played, it has to be complimentary of what the couple asked for.
On the day
How much room do you need for setup?
Approximately an 8 foot by 8 foot covered area, within 15 feet of an electrical outlet.
Do you bring your own speakers, tables, amps and microphones?
We are fully self sufficient. We provide all of the gear we need.
How much time do you need to set up?
Typically a two hour window before our start time. Setup time is not counted in your booked time.
What will our DJ wear?
Every SoundChoice DJ wears a suit, or dresses appropriately for the specific event.
The money
Is there a travel fee to come to our venue?
There is no travel fee within 60 miles of our Greenville office. Past 60 miles it is $0.75 per mile for the round trip.
Is there a charge for holiday weddings?
Yes. A flat $500 premium applies to four dates: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. No other date carries a premium.

What happens if our DJ is sick on the day?
There are seventeen DJs on our roster, so the answer is another SoundChoice DJ with your plan already in front of them rather than a scramble. Everything you build with us before the wedding lives in the client portal, so nobody starts from nothing.
What holds our date?
A signed agreement and a 25% retainer. A quote from the booking tool is an estimate and does not hold anything.
What areas do you serve?
Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina, including Asheville and Hendersonville, plus Columbia. Travel is free within sixty miles of our Greenville office. Past that it is $0.75 a mile for the round trip, calculated from your venue's actual address.
Is dance floor lighting included, or is it extra?
Included in all three packages. It is not an upgrade, because a floor under full house lights does not fill.
Can we add time on the night?
Usually, at $250 an hour or $125 for a half hour, as long as your venue allows it. Many venues have a music-off time in their own contract, so check that before you count on staying late.
Do we meet before the wedding?
Yes. We plan the night with you in advance and it goes into the client portal: your song requests, your do-not-play list, the names in your wedding party and the running order.
